| Hmm, thought I posted in this one.
I joined about a year and a half ago because I used to visit Pro-G all the time for news and relay it to my old forum at Gameplay where I have 20k + posts and know most of the people. That forum had since declined, and the prospect of winning a game for talking about them was very inviting. I was convinced that I could win it easily on a regular basis because I have always talked about games at a high level, have enjoyed doing so, and have gotten a lot of respect for it. I won it once shortly after I joined, but not again since then. No idea why. This is my main forum now, so it wont make a difference providing there's continued improvement in the community discussion, otherwise I might defect to GamesTM ;p |

| I joined, for as I had been signed up to a handful of other sites, I found that they were full of what seemed like immature, lame and just downright annoying people who would rather argue about not being gay than actually contribute to a forum in a constructive and objective manner. Fanboyism is rife among the gaming community as everyone knows and what better way to become irritated about partaking in a valid discussion than to be in the middle of people who care for nothing more than to carry arguments across threads and achieve nothing doing so. I felt for the most part that I was wasting my time sharing my opinion. Well I stumbled across VG hunting for some reviews and articles and found it rather concise and "pleasant" for lack of a more fitting term.
I have not looked back and I must say that the podcast is gold. I will go as far as saying that I consider my opinions and posts to be well received by the general community and users seem to always share their opinions rather than post rubbish just because they don't agree. There also appears to be some very intelectual users and some whom have the ability to think outside the square. Not to mention some very funny fellows. I like cheese to Mr. Ninjutsu though clearly nowhere near as much as you!!!
I will admit that my interest was also piqued when I learned about the Member of the Month giveaways (I was already a member by this stage). I learnt also shortly thereafter that I was inelligible because I didn't live in the UK. This will not deter me from remaining an active member for as long as I am tolerated. I'm not in it to win it. I enjoy the community, the reviews and other material by the VG staff is always quality stuff and that's what matters.
Cheers to VG!Last edited on Sun 8 November 2009 by clangod |

| I posted in this already, but I should add I was looking for a good video game related forum, since I have way too much time and that's what I did when I wasn't in school or online. I post on like, 6 forums now, one where I have 8000 posts after joining just 9 months ago. |
